Protected Areas are:

I. Whole of Nagaland.
2. Whole of Manipur.
3. Whole of Mizoram.
4. Whole of Arunachal Pradesh. 5. Part of Sikkim.
6. Part of Himachal Pradesh.
7. Part of Uttar Pradesh.
8. Part of Jammu & Kashmir.
9. Part of Rajasthan.

Restricted Areas are:

I. Whole of Andaman & Nicobar Islands.
2. Part of Sikkim.
Recently some relaxation have been made in Restricted Area Permit (RAP)! Protected Area Permit (PAP) Regime, details of which are as under:

Rajasthan

 

 

Western side (upto Indo Pak Border) of National Highway No.I5 running from Sri Ganganagar to Sanchore via Sri-Ganganagar, Suratgarh, Lunkaransar, Bikaner, Gajner, Kolyat, Phalodi, Khera, Ram Deora, Pokaran, Lathi, Jaisalmer, Sangad, Fatehgarh, Sheo, Bhadewa, Kapoordi, Banner, Hathitala, Sanwara, Lookhoo, Gandhwa, Dhamuna subject to the following Exceptions:

i) The peripheral areas of cities, towns, and villages on the National Highway through which it passes;

ii) The city limits of Suratgarh, Bikaner, Phalodi, Pokaran, Jaisalmer, Barmer and Sanchore; and

iii) The following villages and areas of tourist interest in the district of Jaisalmer:

Amarsagar, Ludarwa, KuJdara, Bada Bagh, Sam and Unda.

Foreigners cannot visit these places for tourism.

Whole of Nagai and is a Protected Area and Foreigners are not allowed to enter Nagaland.

Period of stay 5 days. This can be extended by Sikkim Government for a period 000 days in two spells of 5 days each


To obtain the permission to visit above restricted areas, the visitors need to fill up government documents, published in different formats for different areas enclosed the Xerox copies of their passport, visa and few passport size recent pictures. The document should be sponsored by a recognized travel agency with the department of tourism, government of India. We do assist our groups in obtaining these permissions by sponsoring them and providing them online application forms.

7. Duration of stay in restricted area
8. Purpose of visit
9. Date of arrival in India
10. Date of departure

Once we receive these details, we will immediately send you the application forms through internet and once we get the forms back duly filled and signed by you we will start processing with the concerned government office in India.
