Mountaineering Formalities

Handling Chages:
  Height Handling Charges Fee for 12 members (No change) Existing fee for 13th to 16th member New lump sum fee for four members, i.e. from 13th to 16th member.
(a) Below 6500 meters US$ 1500 US$ 300 per member, i.e. US$ 1200 for additional four members. A lump sum amount of US$ 400 to be charged for thirteenth (13) to sixteenth (16) members of the expedition instead of US$ 300 per head.
(b) Between 6501 to 7000 meters.
US$ 2000 -do- -do-
(c) 7001 meters and above.
US$ 3000 -do- -do-
(d) For peaks Nun and Kun in Kashmir Himalaya.

(e) For Peaks in restricted area.

(f) For Peaks in the Eastern Karakoram.(For a party not exceeding eight (8) foreign members.In joint-expeditions, out of a maximum of sixteen (16) members, at least eight (8) will be Indians. Only joint expeditions are permitted to climb). US$ 4000 No Change No Change
(g) For four "Trekking Peaks" (Stok Kangri, Ladakhi, Hanuman, Friendship).
US$ 300 US$ 300 per member, i.e. US$ 1200 for additional four members.
A lump sum amount of US$ 100 to be charged for the thirteenth (13) to sixteenth (16) members instead of US$ 300 per head
